Description
Prilog 400 is intended for gas measuring stations that need a logger with a flexible archive structure, ready-made interfaces and a built-in modem. The device is compact and rugged, created for the natural gas market and industrial use. Gas network operators and their customers store meter readings, measured values and events in it, and then read the data via standard communication protocols.
Structurally, Prilog 400 is built on the same platform as the Primus 400 volume corrector: the same housing, display, power modules and interfaces. Instead of the correction function, it has recording functions. The housing of glass-fiber-reinforced polycarbonate measures 263×201×111 mm, weighs 2.2 kg and has ingress protection IP66, with an ambient temperature from −25 to +70 °C. Configuration, archive records, measured and calculated values and event messages are shown on a backlit graphic LCD of 128×64 dots. The menu is operated with six buttons, a manual normally does not need to be consulted, and parameters are changed from the keypad.
The logger is modular. It works standalone or is mounted directly on a gas meter, and a built-in modular GSM/GPRS/LTE Cat1 modem handles remote reading. There are eight digital inputs (two HF/encoder and six LF/binary) and up to six analog inputs, up to four digital and up to four analog outputs; NAMUR and SCR+ encoders are supported. The optical port runs at 9.6–38.4 kbit/s, and two RS-232/RS-485 ports at 9.6–57.6 kbit/s. Archives are periodic, daily, monthly, binary and others, and the recording period in the standard version is adjustable from 1 s to 1 h.
Basic power is supplied by a lithium battery with a service life of up to 15 years. For the version with a modem, a battery module is added, and 24 or 230 V supply is not used in that case. In zone 2, external 230 or 24 V supply is available; in zones 0 and 1 the device is powered with 12 V through an external PS-E module. The logger has an ATEX certificate and is ready for use in zones 0, 1 and 2. The manufacturer indicates the MessEG approval as expected soon, so for custody transfer metering this item must be clarified separately.
A Windows program is supplied for reading, parameterization and visualization, used locally and in a control center. Remote reading is performed by the WICO 22 software, and drivers are available for several SCADA systems.
