Description

The station is intended for underground steel structures that require electrochemical corrosion protection. These are primarily trunk and distribution gas pipelines, as well as fuel, water and heating pipelines. It also protects tanks, industrial installations and wastewater treatment infrastructure.

It is based on a digital switch-mode power supply controlled by a microprocessor measurement and control system. The working channel has its own measuring circuits. The station measures the protection potential and current, the power supply voltage, the operating time and the temperature of the most important elements. There are three regulation modes: constant protection current (galvanostat), constant potential (potentiostat) and constant power supply voltage. The output current or voltage can be switched cyclically between two set values in order to measure the potential without the ohmic component. External switching is supported, and the time is synchronized by GPS. This architecture provides high regulation accuracy and stable operation in field conditions. The station continuously monitors the protection parameters and adjusts them to the protected object.

Locally the parameters are shown on a large graphic display, and remotely the station is controlled through a telemetry system. Diagnostics include FFT analysis and remote oscillography. The Modbus protocol allows the station to be integrated into upper-level monitoring systems. The supply is 230 V AC, the protection current is from 0.1 mA to 20 A depending on the version, and the current consumption is up to 4 A. The interfaces include an RS232 port for a modem, RS485, protection potential inputs, a current circuit output and a GPS antenna.

The permissible operating temperature is from −15 to +70 °C, the enclosure is IP65, and mounting is vertical on an easily removable bracket. The station is part of the corrosion protection system together with the TELCORR 4 telemetry module and the CSMOK central cathodic protection monitoring system. CSMOK collects data from distributed objects, signals violations and automates reporting. This reduces field trips and the response time to failures. According to the manufacturer, the operating mode of the stations adjusts automatically to conditions, and remote configuration, control and collection of measurements make network management easier.
