Description
The module controls and monitors the operation of cathodic protection stations that have no measuring and communication systems of their own, and performs extended measurement and control functions. It measures protection potentials at test points (posts), works on insulating joints and drainage installations. The configuration is set remotely, the results are read and the operation of the device is monitored, including loss of supply. The results are recorded and accumulated with preliminary processing, and the time is synchronized by GPS.
Digital signal processing, correlation measurements and scheduled task execution make TELCORR 4 a part of an integrated cathodic protection system together with MSOK 2 stations and the CSMOK information system. The module also upgrades existing stations with measurement, telemetry and control functions. The design is compact and modular, with mounting on a TS35 DIN rail in posts with a diameter of at least 85 mm. Several power sources, including a high-capacity external battery, provide many years of autonomous operation in the field.
The dimensions are 80 × 55 × 305 mm (530 mm long with the stand), the enclosure is IP67, the operating temperature is from −40 to +85 °C. The supply is 9–24 V DC, USB or a battery module up to 50 A·h with a service life of about 3 years depending on the configuration. The consumption at 12 V is from 100 to 300 mA during GSM transmission. The ports are RS485 and USB 2.0, the protocols are Modbus, TCP/IP and UDP, and the antenna connector is SMA.
There are two discrete inputs and two changeover relay outputs, as well as a heavy-current relay module of 100 V DC / 30 A with a switching time of not more than 10 ms. The switching resolution is 1 ms, task scheduling has an accuracy of 1 s, and GPS synchronization has an accuracy of 100 ns with holdover of ±1 ms. From 1 to 7 measuring modules of category II 300 V AC with 2.5 kV galvanic isolation and an input resistance from 10 MΩ can be installed; the millivoltmeter has an input of 1 MΩ, the milliammeter 0.5 Ω. It is used for cathodic protection of gas pipelines, oil pipelines, tanks and industrial underground structures.
