Description
The system includes the SDO FCT flexible optical CT, the SDO MU CFD cable fault detector and the SDO MUX optical multiplexer. It distinguishes whether a short circuit occurred on a cable or on an overhead section. This makes it possible to build selective protection of high-voltage overhead lines with cable sections. The sensor is passive and is connected to the electronics by optical fibre.
