ERZ 2000-NG / ERZ 2000-DI — flow computers and gas volume correctors for custody transfer metering stations
ERZ 2000-NG and ERZ 2000-DI are flow computers and gas volume correctors for custody transfer and process metering stations. The NG is approved by PTB and under MID, while the DI is intended for distribution networks and offtake points. They work with turbine, vortex, ultrasonic and rotary meters and with orifice metering runs.

Description
ERZ 2000-NG and ERZ 2000-DI are flow computers and gas volume correctors for custody transfer and process metering stations. A gas meter measures volume only at operating conditions. Gas is compressible, so its quantity is recalculated to standard conditions, and the properties of the real gas are taken into account through the compressibility factor K, since the equation of state alone is not enough for this. The computers work with turbine, vortex, ultrasonic and rotary meters and with orifice metering runs, accept data from chromatographs and are installed in 19-inch cabinets together with the other equipment of the station.
ERZ 2000-NG is a universal device for all metrological tasks of a gas measurement station, approved by PTB and under MID. The ERZ 2004-NG version is a PTZ corrector, ERZ 2104-NG is a calorific value corrector with energy calculation from gas quality data, and ERZ 2014/2114-NG is a computer for differential pressure metering across an orifice. Typical applications cover custody transfer metering, compressor stations, pressure reduction plants, remote stations, underground gas storage, municipal and regional gas utilities and biogas plants. The device has a touch graphic interface (including for use with gloves), remote service through a web browser, and acceptance of meter encoder readings and digital sensor values over HART. Functions include on-the-fly verification, value freezing and a functional test, linearization of the meter error curve by points or by polynomial, calculation of the theoretical speed of sound for comparison with an ultrasonic meter, and four sets of totalizers for operating and standard volume, energy, mass and CO2.
The NG has eight frequency inputs, two for resistance thermometers, eight current inputs and eight contact inputs; its outputs are four pulse, two alarm, four analog and eight digital. There are 7 serial interfaces and two TCP/IP. The protocols are Modbus RTU/ASCII and TCP, instance F for ultrasonic meters, DSfG, DZU, HART and the manufacturer's proprietary bus. The 19″ housing, 3 HE (42 TE) high, measures 213×128.4×310 mm. Power is 24 V DC or 115/230 V AC, consumption up to 24 W, temperature −20 to +55 °C, memory 4 GB.
ERZ 2000-DI is an economical corrector for distribution networks and offtake points with a small number of metering runs, approved under MID and MessEG. It has a web interface that needs no separate software, a step-by-step setup wizard, and signed data readout through Modbus and DSfG class B. It has five current inputs, two for resistance thermometers, four frequency inputs and eight contact inputs; the outputs are in a 4/4/8 configuration, with five serial interfaces and two TCP/IP, 24 V DC supply and memory of more than 4 GB. In addition to SGERG 88, AGA8 DC-92, Gross 1/2 and NX-19 mod, it provides AGA8 (2016), GERG-2008 and GERG-2004.
