Description
CRP-03 is intended for places where gas pressure and temperature must be recorded continuously at gas regulator stations, stations and control points of distribution networks. The device successfully replaces mechanical chart-and-pen recorders and additionally records gas volume at operating conditions Vm from the LF pulse input with a programmable pulse weight.
The logger has from one to four pressure channels and one temperature channel. The pressure transducers are up to two built-in and up to two external digital CPC-03 units on a cable of up to 10 m. Absolute ranges of 50–300, 90–600, 250–1700, 600–4000 and 1000–7000 kPa and gauge ranges of 0–10, 0–17, 0–100, 0–600, 400–1600 and 1400–6300 kPa are available. The accuracy of the pressure channels is high, for example ±0.2 % over the whole absolute pressure range. Temperature is measured by a four-wire Pt1000 sensor of class 2/3A with an error of ±0.1 % at 23 °C and ±0.2 % over the whole ambient temperature range, and the gas temperature range is from −25 to +65 °C.
The device has a pressure surge detection mode with more frequent measurements and recording, useful for monitoring the operation of a regulator. The archive stores 46 094 periodic and the same number of instantaneous records, 2016 daily records (about 5.4 years) and 1024 events and alarms. The RTC clock deviates by less than 1 s per day over the whole temperature range. Programming can be locked with a sealed switch, the firmware can be updated, and most parameters are configured remotely.
Communication runs through three independent RS-GAZ2 ports: COM1 (Tuchel/OPTO-GAZ), COM2 and COM3. CRP-03 is compatible with power supplies, CZAK-03 barriers, CMB-03 and CTS-03 transmission modules, and with equipment of other makers. It is powered by two D-size batteries, with a service life from 4 to 9 years depending on the number of transducers and the measurement frequency. External power through any COM port draws less than 5 mA, and the display backlight is powered by a separate AA battery. The housing is aluminium, single-chamber, 175×195×70 mm, IP66/67, with a hinged cover and EMC cable glands. Explosion protection is II 2G Ex ia IIB T4 Gb, operating temperature from −25 to +55 °C.
