Description
CAP-Phase is a universal portable tester for working with the HR and LRM capacitive interfaces of medium-voltage switchgear under IEC 61243-5 / IEC 62271-213. One instrument performs checking for the presence of voltage, the routine (periodic) check of the interfaces, phase comparison of two connections, and determination of the direction of field rotation (phase sequence). These operations are needed when energizing cable lines, phasing and closing network rings.
The instrument is connected to the capacitive measuring points of the panels, including the three-phase LRM points present in CAPDIS, VOIS and IKI-23 indicators. Battery-free microprocessor technology is powered by the signal of the measuring point, so the instrument is always ready for operation and does not require battery replacement. A built-in self-test checks both the tester and the measuring leads, which increases the reliability of results and the safety of personnel. CAPDIS, VOIS and IKI-23 indicators are installed in the panels as permanent capacitive indicators, while CAP-Phase is a portable instrument that is connected to their points for the duration of the check.
CAP-Phase is available in versions for 50 Hz and 60 Hz networks. It is supplied as a separate tester or as a set (Set): a universal tester, two measuring leads 2 m long, two HR/LRM adapters and a carrying case; the dimensions of the set in the case are 340 × 275 × 83 mm. Available accessories include a shoulder bag, a 20 cm measuring lead, a 2 × 4.5 m lead set, a universal adapter cable set and an HR/LRM adapter set. For 60 Hz networks a separate set version is available.
Degree of protection IP54, operating temperature −25…+55 °C, storage −30…+70 °C. The tester is intended for operating and maintenance personnel of network companies, installation organizations and manufacturers of switchgear who carry out acceptance tests of panels with capacitive interfaces. The routine check of HR and LRM interfaces, which the standards prescribe for systems without self-monitoring, is carried out with the same instrument, so a separate verification tester is not needed. One person can perform the entire scope of checks on a panel, and the case with adapters is convenient to take on site visits.
