Description
The recorder captures the currents and voltages of feeders during short circuits, switching operations and network oscillations, so that the protection and automation service can analyse an event and check the operation of protection. The transient mode records fast signal changes, while the fault mode keeps a long record with less detail. Recording is triggered by analogue channels, by frequency and by positive- and negative-sequence components. Records are collected over Ethernet to an engineer's workstation or to a central waveform collection system.
