WEL / E2K / E3K — 12/24 kV switchgear with withdrawable vacuum circuit breakers
WEL, E2K and E3K are air-insulated medium-voltage switchgear for 12 and 24 kV with withdrawable vacuum circuit breakers on a truck. The rated current reaches 2500 A and the short-time withstand current 31.5 kA. They are used in critical switchgear installations of utilities, industry and public buildings.

Description
Type tests were performed to DIN EN 62271-200. WEL has withdrawable circuit breaker panels without a disconnector for 12 and 24 kV, a rated current of 630 or 1250 A, a short-time withstand current of 31.5 kA for 3 s (1 s for an arcing fault) and a peak withstand current of 80 kA. The insulation level is 28/75 kV for 12 kV and 50/125 kV for 24 kV. Panel widths are 800 and 900 mm (12 kV), 800, 900 and 1000 mm (24 kV), depth 1100 mm, height 2100–2460 mm depending on the relay compartment, the weight of a fully equipped panel is about 1000 kg, degree of protection IP3X.
E3K has a three-compartment design (circuit breaker, busbar and cable compartments) for 12 and 24 kV, 630, 1250 and 2500 A, up to 31.5 kA / 3 s, up to 80 kA peak withstand current. Width 800 and 1000 mm (1000 mm for 2500 A), depth 1400–1600 mm, height 2400–2600 mm, weight about 1200 kg, degree of protection IP4X. The E3K12-801424 version is rated for 12 kV, up to 1600 A, 31.5 kA, LSC2B-PM, IAC A FL 31.5 kA 1 s, and E3K24-101624 for 2500 A. E2K has a two-compartment design with a service truck.
E3K panels can house H27 load-break switches (630 A, 20 kA / 50 kA) and H27 combinations with fuses (up to 125 A, 25 kA / 63 kA). Vacuum circuit breakers operate up to 2500 A and 31.5 kA. The equipment includes an auxiliary truck with a docking unit and a service truck with a hydraulic circuit breaker lifting device. The motor spring charging has a power of 256.5 W and takes about 4 s at 230 V AC, and the cassette motor drive 342 W and about 4.5 s. Control voltage DC 24–220 V, AC 110/230 V.
Internal arc withstand is confirmed at 16, 25 and 31.5 kA for 1 s, and painting in any RAL color is possible. The switchgear is installed in main switchgear of industrial enterprises, at substations of urban networks, power plants and infrastructure facilities.
