PEGASO is air-insulated (AIS) medium-voltage switchgear for 24 kV, 50 Hz, for transformer substations and distribution points of power systems and industry. The line and transformer cubicles are only 500 mm wide, so the switchgear fits into compact and prefabricated substations.

Description
The cubicles have two compartments. The busbar compartment and the cable compartment are separated by a support frame carrying the load-break switch, which also provides mechanical and electrical separation. The main switching apparatus consists of rotary load-break switches R5P, R5B, R10 and disconnectors S5, ST7,5R, ST7,5L in air insulation with a double-break contact system, with or without an earthing switch.
With a pole spacing of 230 mm and a depth of 960 mm, the smallest cubicle width is 500 mm, and this module is used for line and transformer cubicles. Measurement and circuit-breaker cubicles are 750 mm wide, bus-section cubicles 1,000 mm or 2 × 500 mm. The range also includes right-hand and left-hand measurement cubicles, measurement-sectionalising and busbar cubicles. Cubicles are supplied singly or assembled into switchgear of any configuration. Enclosures and doors of 1.5 mm sheet steel are powder-coated in RAL 7032.
The cubicles are fitted with current and voltage transformers, MV fuses, ASW-18N surge arresters, voltage presence indicators, vacuum or gas circuit breakers, overcurrent protection, an ATS module and a UPS. Line and transformer cubicles can have a shunt trip coil for remote tripping and reactance insulators for voltage indicators. Interlocks are mechanical, key-operated and electrical, including the cable interlock of two AC-BLOK vacuum circuit breakers, registered as an industrial design.
The power-frequency test voltage is 50 kV (60 kV across the isolating distance), the 1.2/50 µs lightning impulse voltage 125 kV (145 kV). Rated busbar current is 630 A, cubicle current 400 A, short-time withstand current 12.5, 16 or 20 kA for 1 s, peak current 31.5/40/50 kA. Internal arc withstand is AFL 16 kA, protection degree IP4X. The switchgear complies with PN-EN 62271-200, PN-EN 62271-1, PN-EN 62271-105 and PN-E-05115, approval No. 1010/NBR/2011.
Installation conditions per the catalogue are altitude up to 1000 m above sea level, air temperature from −5 °C (lowest continuous) to +50 °C (short-term maximum), daily average up to +35 °C, and relative humidity in service up to 95 %. The switchgear is fixed to the base with M10 anchors and M10x20 bolts. Copper busbar connections and operating mechanisms work for a long time without complex maintenance.
