Description
The unit has SF6 insulation in a sealed metal enclosure that needs no gas refilling over its whole service life. This is a version for indoor installation in 12, 17.5 and 24 kV cable distribution networks at a frequency of 50/60 Hz. The power frequency test voltage is 28, 38 and 50 kV, and the lightning impulse 75, 95 and 125 kV. The rated SF6 pressure is 5 (the unit is given in the catalogue as Psi.G). Internal arc withstand is 21 kA for 1 s (AFAL), making capacity 54.6 kA.
Modules are selected to suit the scheme. The load break switch LBS is rated 630 A, 21 kA / 3 s, making capacity 54.6 kA, electrical class E3, mechanical M1. The LBS earthing switch is 21 kA / 3 s, E1, M1. The vacuum breaker comes in 200 A (transformer protection) or 630 A (feeder protection), 21 kA / 3 s, E2, M1. The breaker disconnector-earthing switch is rated 630 A, E1, M1. The fused switch module of 200 A, E1, M1 has an earthing switch of 5 kA / 1 s (13 kA making) and DIN fuses up to 100 A for 12 and 17.5 kV or up to 75 A for 24 kV. A built-in current transformer of class 10P80 is fitted. The fuse striker trips the mechanism on operation.
The unit height is 1400 mm and depth 752 mm. The standard schemes LFL (2L1F) and LCL (2L1C) have a width of 1030 mm. Schemes with load break switches only are made as LLL of 1030 mm, LLLL of 1390 mm and LLLLL of 1720 mm. For transformer protection with a breaker there are LC of 755 mm, LCCL of 1450 mm, LLCL of 1390 mm and LLCCL of 1780 mm, and for fuse protection LF of 755 mm, LFFL of 1500 mm, LLFL of 1360 mm and LLFFL of 1830 mm.
The three-position LBS (on-off-earthed) has interlocking. There is a bursting diaphragm, voltage indicators per IEC 61958, an earth fault indicator, a self-powered overcurrent relay, a motor drive and remote control through RTU/FRTU and SCADA, locks and cable cover interlocks. Operating conditions are a temperature from −25 to +40 °C, altitude up to 1000 m and humidity up to 95 %. Degree of protection is IP3X for the front and IP67 for the tank. The standards are IEC 62271-1, -100, -102, -103, -105, -200, and tests were carried out at KERI.
