Description
MV-M6-G is a compact air-insulated switchgear with withdrawable devices for high currents. The busbar and feeder current is 5200 A, the thermal withstand current 72 kA and the peak current 193 kA. The power-frequency test voltage is 28/36/38 kV and the impulse voltage 75/95/95 kV for 12/15/17.5 kV respectively. Internal arc resistance is IAC AFLR up to 72 kA/0.1 s or 63 kA/0.5 s. The cubicle height is 2400–2550 mm, the width 800–1000 mm (only 1000 mm for 15 and 17.5 kV) and the depth 1600 mm.
MV-M12 has devices on withdrawable trucks and the highest busbar and feeder current in the range, up to 7000 A. The withstand current is 63 kA, the peak current 160 kA, IAC AFLR up to 63 kA/0.3 s. The cubicle dimensions are 3000×1500×2200 mm, and the test voltages are the same as for MV-M6-G. It is chosen for generators whose current exceeds the limits of compact cubicles.
MV-M17 is built on trucks with a motor drive. It is compact at high currents with good access to all components. The current is 5100 A, 72 kA, peak current 197 kA. For 17.5 kV the power-frequency test voltage is up to 50 kV and the impulse voltage up to 110 kV. IAC AFLR is up to 72 kA/0.1 s or 63 kA/0.5 s, and the dimensions are 2900×1200×2300 mm. The motor drive moves the device without manual work at the cubicle. At a width of 1200 mm the MV-M17 cubicle is narrower than MV-M12 with its 1500 mm.
Generator switchgear is equipped with SPRECON protection and automation, including generator protection, the SPRECON-E-C-SYNC synchronizing device and regulators. Before closing the generator circuit breaker, the synchronizing device compares the phase difference, frequency and voltage amplitude of the generator and the network. These belong to one SPRECON platform, so engineering and service of the secondary part are the same. The supply includes design, installation and commissioning. Applications are generator switchgear of hydro, thermal and industrial power plants, auxiliary power of power plants, and connection of high-power generators to a 6–15 kV network.
