Description
SIMOSEC is a medium-voltage switchgear assembly for secondary power distribution. It is a three-phase metal-enclosed switchgear for indoor installation. It is built and tested at the factory: routine tests are performed to IEC 62271-200, and type tests are passed to IEC 62271-100 and IEC 62271-200.
The design is hybrid. The busbars and feeders have proven air insulation, and the switching functions are gas insulated. This arrangement stabilizes the operation of the switchgear and increases personnel safety with compact dimensions. The switching devices are placed in hermetic enclosures that do not depend on the conditions in the room.
The switchgear is rated for voltages up to 24 kV. The short-time withstand current is up to 25 kA for 2 s, and the rated busbar current is up to 1250 A, with feeders also up to 1250 A. For secondary distribution this range is sufficient to cover most transformer and distribution substations of urban and industrial networks.
The metal enclosure and compliance with international safety standards protect the operator during maintenance and operation.
