Description
NXAIR M, NXAIR C and NXAIR H are versions of the NXAIR family of air-insulated switchgear for 20–35 kV networks. Like the basic series, these are factory-built switchgear assemblies type tested to IEC 62271-200 with withdrawable vacuum circuit breakers, metallic partitions (class PM), category LSC 2B and internal arc classification IAC A FLR (1 s).
The internal arc stays within the compartment because the partitions are pressure resistant. All operations are performed with the high-voltage doors closed, and the position of the switching devices is shown by unambiguous indicators. The insulating medium is air, the materials are fully recyclable, and the service intervals are more than 10 years.
NXAIR M at 24 kV is rated for a breaking and short-time withstand current of 25 kA (3 s), a peak withstand current of 63/65 kA, a busbar current of 2500 A and feeder currents of 800, 1250, 2000 and 2500 A. The power-frequency withstand voltage is 50 kV (65 kV per GOST) and the lightning impulse withstand voltage is 125 kV. Panels 800 and 1000 mm wide have a height of 2510 mm and a depth of 1600 mm, and some characteristics exceed the IEC requirements. The switchgear is aimed at utilities, infrastructure and industry. For the automotive industry there is a separate version with a circuit breaker panel and HV HRC high-voltage fuses.
NXAIR C is a compact switchgear up to 24 kV, 25 kA and 2000 A with category LSC2. It is installed in primary distribution substations of utilities, industry and infrastructure, including traction power supply and mining and metallurgical plants.
NXAIR H at 36 kV is rated for 31.5 kA (3 s), a peak withstand current of 80/82 kA, a withstand voltage of 70 kV and a lightning impulse of 170 kV, a busbar current of 2500 A and feeder currents of 800–2500 A (up to 2900 A according to the manufacturer's catalog). A panel 1000 mm wide, 2800 mm high and 2670 mm deep allows wall-mounted and free-standing installation without limits up to the maximum short-circuit currents. All versions can be connected to the SICAM A8000 and Electrification X monitoring systems. Applications are 20–35 kV substations of distribution networks, industrial plants, power plants and renewable energy facilities.
