SCC, CPC and SealVolution packing cases, BCD emission reduction rings and the WME oil scraper for reciprocating compressors. Cooled SCC packing cases work at pressures up to 300 bar and cylinder temperatures from −50 to +300 °C. They are used on natural gas, hydrogen and hydrocarbon compressors in the gas and refining industries.

Description
The rod seal is the main source of emissions from a reciprocating compressor and one of the factors in its overhaul interval. For this component there are the SCC, CPC and SealVolution packing cases, the BCD emission reduction rings, the WME oil scraper, and a set of piston, rider and sealing rings.
The SCC (Surround Cooled Packing Case) is a packing case cooled around its whole circumference. Large heat transfer surfaces and a continuous longitudinal channel remove the friction and compression heat, even if the cooling water is not very clean, and such a case clogs less often. Cooled seals last longer and need replacement less often. The housing is made without O-rings around the rod, which meets the requirements of API 618. The case works in all industries and on any gases, at any speeds, with lubrication and especially without it. Pressure reaches 300 bar, cylinder temperature is −50…+300 °C, the rod diameter can be any, and materials vary. SealVolution combines the SCC with patented pressure-balanced BTD tangential rings, which minimize contact pressure, friction and wear. Rings of increased radial thickness and connection of an ECPi panel for condition monitoring of each seal are possible.
The CPC (Compact Packing Case) is intended for small and medium natural gas compressors, which under new regulations can be significant sources of methane. Standardized stainless steel cups adapt to different compressors and manufacturers. O-rings between the cups eliminate leakage between cups and do not depend on surface roughness, so the case is refurbished on site without special tools or lapping.
The BCD combines two rings in one. A pressure equalization groove reduces contact pressure, the main segments seal the rod and compensate wear, and the end segments seal in the axial and radial directions. Leakage is reduced by up to 70 %, and maintenance intervals increase. Rod diameter 20–140 mm, pressure 3–250 bar. The ring is used in gas injection and storage, at LNG terminals, in gas gathering and transmission, at CNG stations, in refining and in synthesis gas. The WME is a multi-edge oil scraper made of HY54 material with several garter springs. One such element replaces several scrapers. Oil carryover is 2.4 ml/day on the test stand and about 50 ml/day in service, and the service life is up to three times longer than conventional.
Piston, rider and sealing rings are made from materials of three lines. Excite is intended for the most severe conditions, Experience for proven quality in a wide range of tasks, and Lite for economical options on lubricated hydrogen, hydrocarbon and low- and medium-pressure natural gas compressors.
