CS / CBSD / MCP / CSH centrifugal cryogenic pumps for loading and unloading tankers with liquid O₂, N₂, Ar, up to 900 m³/h, up to 50 bar
CS, CBSD, MCP and CSH are centrifugal cryogenic pumps for liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon with flow up to 900 m³/h and design pressure up to 50 bar. They are installed at ASUs for loading tankers, between tanks, and at the consumer for unloading. CSH also works on liquid methane.

Description
CS, CBSD, MCP and CSH pumps transfer liquid air separation products. They load tankers at ASUs, transfer liquid between tanks and unload tankers at the consumer. The working media are liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon, and CSH also works on liquid methane. LNG loading and unloading pumps (GBS, GBSD, CO, VS, MAGSTAR) are listed in the catalogue as a separate item.
CS and CBSD are horizontal direct-coupled pumps with flow up to 130 m³/h. They work mainly in intermittent duty on tanker loading. The CS has a design pressure of up to 36 bar, no gearbox or oil in the design, and its speed is controlled by a frequency converter rated up to 37 kW and current up to 72 A. Head by characteristic reaches ≈310 m. The Permacold thermal barrier separates the volute from the electric motor with an intermediate part with four hollow spokes, a hollow shaft and a thick insulating plate. The composite mechanical seal lasts 4 times longer than standard carbon seals, and the closed impeller with a helical inducer gives high efficiency and low required NPSH, with low noise.
MCP are modular centrifugal pumps with flow up to 900 m³/h for the most demanding ASUs and other process plants. They are mounted horizontally or vertically. In the warm version the pump can stand in cold standby and run continuously, and in the cold version it is installed directly on the cold box of the ASU. The rotor is removed and assembled without dismantling the process line.
CSH unloads tankers. The drive is hydraulic, from the power take-off of the tractor unit: a hydraulic motor up to 70 kW, design pressure up to 50 bar, flow up to ≈1000 l/min, weight without the hydraulic motor 75 kg. Speed is set by an electrically controlled flow valve, the hydraulic system is protected by a relief valve, and quick-disconnect couplings allow the tractor to be detached quickly. Options include a differential pressure switch against dry running, cool-down and leak sensors, a purged seal and a drain. The design of all pumps complies with IGC 11/82 recommendations. Each pump undergoes mechanical and cryogenic tests, and the report records head, flow, efficiency, NPSH, noise and vibration.

Questions and answers
What flow and pressure do the CS, CBSD and MCP pumps have?
CS and CBSD are horizontal, with flow up to 130 m³/h, and the CS has a design pressure of up to 36 bar. MCP are modular, with flow up to 900 m³/h, and are mounted horizontally or vertically.
How does the CSH drive differ from the CS?
The CSH is driven by a hydraulic motor of up to 70 kW from the tractor power take-off, with design pressure up to 50 bar and flow up to ≈1000 l/min. The CS has a direct electric drive with a frequency converter of up to 37 kW and current up to 72 A.
