MRP / LDPD / HPP — high-pressure cryogenic piston pumps for LNG, LCNG and hydrogen, up to 500 bar
MRP, LDPD and HPP are horizontal cryogenic piston pumps that raise the pressure of liquefied gas before vaporization. They are installed at LCNG stations, hydrogen filling stations and in fuel systems of marine dual-fuel engines, with capacity up to 393 l/min.

Description
Cryogenic piston pumps raise the pressure of liquefied gas to hundreds of bar before vaporization, so compressed gas is obtained without gas compressors. The MRP, LDPD and HPP series are horizontal machines with a vacuum-insulated cold end, long-life seals and an oil crank drive (with a gearbox in the HPP above 400 kW). The pumps are produced in single-, double- and triple-plunger versions (OL1, OL2, OL3).
MRP 40/55 LNG is intended for LCNG stations, where LNG is compressed by the pump and gasified for fueling vehicles with compressed natural gas or biomethane. Capacity is 25, 50 or 75 l/min (OL1/OL2/OL3), design pressure 400 bar, power up to 90 kW; the pump is fully instrumented and complies with the ATEX directive. MRP 40/55 LH2 is intended for hydrogen: compressed gas is obtained from liquid hydrogen for filling tube trailers at 35 MPa and fueling cars and buses at 70 MPa. Its capacity is 15, 30 or 45 l/min at a pressure of 500 bar and power up to 30 kW, and the reduced weight, enhanced insulation and radiation barrier cut losses during cool-down and cold standby.
For industrial processes, peak shaving plants, high-pressure marine engines and hydrocarbon processing, MRP, LDPD and HPP are used with capacity up to 393 l/min, pressure up to 520 bar and power up to 500 kW. For marine two-stroke dual-fuel engines, triplex pumps HPP 65/90, 75/110 and others are produced, as well as pumps for ethane fuel. The drive is belt, gear or hydraulic, and the pumps are supplied on tested skids.
A large vacuum volume, a suction valve with optimized pressure losses and a large suction chamber with a filter give a low NPSH and fast cool-down. Low-pressure seals are self-adjusting, and PT100 sensors monitor cavitation and leaks. The skids comply with PED and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. The manufacturer's test stand checks pumps at pressure up to 700 bar, flow up to 20 000 l/min and power up to 2 MW.
The pumps are used at LCNG stations, in peak shaving and high-pressure regasification, for supplying LNG to marine engines and at hydrogen filling stations. Each machine undergoes factory mechanical and cryogenic tests. Supervision of installation and commissioning, a 24-hour support line, service contracts, repair and personnel training are available from the manufacturer.
