Description
The CT, CS and HDS series plate valves cover the typical tasks of compressors handling natural gas, industrial and process gases, from high-speed industrial machines to low-pressure units and cryogenic boil-off gas.
The CT is a valve with a non-metallic plate for short-stroke high-speed gas compressors, which has run reliably for more than 25 years, and millions of CT valves are in service in natural gas treatment. The design of the plate and springs is matched to the properties of the non-metallic plate. The plastic plate together with a wave spring dampens the impact on opening, and at high speeds the wave spring prevents the plate from sticking to the lubricant. External closing springs guide the plate with practically no tilting, which extends service life. A single moving sealing element simplifies repair in the field, and correctly selected materials allow operation in sour environments as well. Speed up to 1800 rpm, On/Off or HydroCOM control, with and without lubrication, pressure up to 350 bar, differential pressure 150 bar, temperature up to 230 °C, diameters 77–221 mm.
The CS is a universal plate valve for low and medium pressure with a plate made of impact-resistant reinforced polymer, proven in more than 1000 process applications: chemicals, petrochemicals, industrial gases, hydrogen from electrolyzers. With the HP material the valve is suitable for cryogenic applications, for example LNG boil-off gas. Wide channels and a conically milled seat and guard resist clogging, and tribologically optimized hydrogen-resistant materials allow operation without lubrication. Speed up to 800 rpm, discharge pressure up to 60 bar(a), suction from 1 bar(a), temperature −40…+230 °C (PEEK), −50…+160 °C (PA), −160…+230 °C (HP), molecular weight 2–50 g/mol, diameters 67–310 mm.
The HDS is an economical plate valve with double damping for standard high-pressure applications, with good efficiency at low lift and proven operation in process, natural and industrial gas compressors. It is available with a steel or non-metallic plate, and the choice of materials allows the valve to be used in urea production, on oxygen and on LNG boil-off gas. Speed up to 1200 rpm, On/Off control, pressure up to 300 bar, differential pressure up to 100 bar, temperature −160…+300 °C depending on the plate material, diameters 92–254 mm.
These valves are used for repair and modernization of compressors in gas fields, gas processing plants, underground gas storage facilities and CNG stations.

Questions and answers
What pressures do the CT, CS and HDS valves withstand?
The CT works up to 350 bar with a differential pressure of 150 bar. The CS is designed for discharge up to 60 bar(a), and the HDS for pressure up to 300 bar with a differential pressure of 100 bar.
Is the CS suitable for cryogenic media?
With the HP material the CS valve works from −160 to +230 °C, so it is suitable for LNG boil-off gas. With PEEK the range is from −40 to +230 °C.
What diameters and speeds are permissible?
The CT has diameters of 77–221 mm and runs up to 1800 rpm. The CS has 67–310 mm and up to 800 rpm, and the HDS has 92–254 mm and up to 1200 rpm.
