Description
The overall programme of synchronous generators covers 132 to 9000 kVA at voltages of 0.4, 0.69, 6 or 11 kV. This item collects the high-voltage versions at 6 and 11 kV, while the low-voltage ones are listed as a separate item. It also includes the high-voltage part of the standard range of generators for small hydropower plants at 6 kV: 550, 630, 800, 900, 1000, 1120, 1250, 1400, 1600, 1800 and 2000 kVA in frame sizes with shaft height 355–900.
The generators are designed for 50 or 60 Hz and are built with 4 to 24 poles, corresponding to speeds from 1500 to 250 rpm at 50 Hz. A generator can therefore be coupled directly to Francis radial-axial turbines, Kaplan propeller turbines and Pelton impulse turbines. The manufacturer states all three types. Mounting arrangements are horizontal IM B3 and B5 and vertical IM V1.
Stator winding insulation is class F. The protected version has IP23 with open self-ventilation IC 01, and the enclosed version has IP55 with cooling through air tubes IC 511 or with a top-mounted air-to-air heat exchanger IC 611. The excitation system is brush type, through slip rings, or brushless with a rotating rectifier. The brushless scheme reduces maintenance, while the brush type is convenient when modernising stations with existing thyristor exciters.
The generators are intended for new small hydropower plants and for refurbishment of existing stations where generators of Soviet and Yugoslav manufacture have reached the end of their life, as well as for reservoir and irrigation hydro schemes. Within its line of power engineering services, the manufacturer designs and builds small and mini hydropower plants, supplies synchronous hydro generators together with hydromechanical equipment, low- and high-voltage switchgear, and monitoring and control systems. It also performs installation, testing, commissioning and overhaul of hydro generators. Specific parameters are clarified using a questionnaire.
