Description
The manufacturer was founded in 1961 and is one of the largest generator makers in Latin America; the total power of the generators it has produced exceeds 100 000 MW. The company designs synchronous generators for specific applications, from generating sets and wind turbines to turbo- and hydro-generators.
SG10 is designed for 3000–50 000 kVA, 380–13 800 V and a frequency of 50 or 60 Hz. The degree of protection is IP23 or IP44–IP55, insulation class 180 (H), brushless excitation, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 poles. Cooling is air-to-air, air-to-water or self-ventilated. Low reactance makes starting powerful loads easier. The generators work as main, emergency and auxiliary sources on land and at sea, in diesel-electric propulsion systems, as shaft generators, on platform supply vessels, drilling rigs, FPSOs, in data centers and uninterruptible power supply systems.
G Special generators have an enclosed design for work in dust and in the corrosive and abrasive environments of the oil and gas, petrochemical, mining and shipbuilding industries. Power is 375–4000 kVA, IEC frame sizes 315–630, voltage 220–13 800 V, degree of protection IP44, IP54 or IP55, insulation classes F and H, 4–12 poles. Excitation is brushless, from a PMG or an auxiliary winding. The cooling method, mounting arrangement and degree of protection are selected to order. The design allows third-party certification to ATEX and IECEx for explosive atmospheres and marine certification by the main classification societies.
The AN10 marine generator is built to marine standards with a power of 1100–3000 kVA, in IEC frame sizes 450–560, for a voltage of 440, 690 or 4160 V, with a degree of protection IP44–IP55W, class H insulation and 4 poles. Special coatings, parts and windings resist corrosion, oil vapors, salt, high humidity and temperature, and the compact dimensions suit tight engine rooms. It is installed in diesel-electric propulsion systems, as a shaft generator, and for main, emergency and standby generation on supply vessels, tugs, pipelay vessels and tankers.
The manufacturer's quality system is certified by Bureau Veritas Quality Institute to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and the generators hold CE and UL certificates. Marine versions are supplied on request with certificates from Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, ABS, Germanischer Lloyd, DNV and other societies.
