Description
The group has production bases for the main equipment of the nuclear island and for the turbine hall equipment of nuclear plants, which make it possible to produce four sets of equipment for 1000 MW power units every year. Turbogenerators for nuclear plants are made by the subsidiary of the group.
According to the website of the company, its own slow-speed 1300 MW turbogenerator for nuclear plants has been mastered, and a slow-speed 1550 MW generator is in development. The turbogenerator runs on the same shaft as the steam turbine, so the rotational speed is set by the turbine. The slow-speed design with half rotational speed (1500 rpm at 50 Hz) is used in turbine sets of large nuclear plants with pressurised water reactors running on saturated steam. Detailed generator parameters, including voltage and cooling, are not given in the available materials, so they must be clarified with the manufacturer for a specific power unit project.
The group supplies equipment for various reactor technologies, including Hualong-1 (HPR1000), Guohe-1 (CAP1400), VVER, high-temperature gas-cooled, fast and small modular reactors. For Guohe-1, in addition to the turbine set, the motor of the main sealed (canned) pump, the steam generator, the passive residual heat removal heat exchanger, high-pressure heaters and the deaerator were made.
For the world's first fourth-generation nuclear plant with a high-temperature gas-cooled reactor (Shidaowan, in commercial operation since December 2023), a once-through steam generator with coiled tubes, the main helium blower on electromagnetic bearings and a turbogenerator unit were supplied. The share of nuclear plant equipment of the group is about one third of the installed nuclear capacity of China. The generators are made in Harbin, China.
