Description
The condenser bushings are fitted to power transformers, reactors and converter transformers, in classes from 126 to 1100 kV AC and up to ±800 kV DC. A bushing brings the winding leads out of the tank, insulates them from the earthed tank and fixes them mechanically. By purpose they are equivalents of GMLB/BMTP bushings and bushings with RIP insulation for 110–1150 kV.
Oil-impregnated paper (OIP) AC bushings for 110–1000 kV transformers and reactors are made for 126 kV (current up to 6300 A, LI 550 kV), 550 kV (up to 7000 A, LI 1675 kV, SI 1175 kV, cantilever load 4000 N) and 800 kV (up to 4000 A, LI 2100 kV, SI 1550 kV). The top 1100 kV class is rated 3150 A, LI 2400 kV and SI 1950 kV, with an AC test voltage of 1200 kV for 5 min and a cantilever load of 11,000 N, and a seismic requirement of 0.3 g according to the manufacturer. It is fitted to the HV terminals of 1000 kV main transformers and reactors.
The foils are evenly distributed, so electrical characteristics are stable, there are no eddy-current losses and the weight is low. The main insulation undergoes three-stage drying, and the porcelain shells meet the requirements for outdoor insulation and pollution. Dielectric losses are no more than 0.4% at 20 °C and partial discharges are up to 5 pC. The 550 kV bushings are designed for seismic intensity 9, and the 126 and 550 kV bushings passed type tests with results above national norms. The 800 kV bushing with resin-impregnated paper (RIP) insulation is flame-retardant and explosion-proof and has high mechanical strength and seismic withstand.
RIP valve-side DC bushings are installed on converter transformers of ±320…±800 kV lines and meet the requirement for oil-free operation in the valve hall. The ±800 kV bushing is rated 5766 A, the heating test is performed at 6736 A, and the margin at the hottest point reaches 7400 A. Its lightning impulse is 2151 kV, its switching impulse is 1843 kV, and the DC test voltage of 1500 kV lasts 2 h. The ±600 kV bushing at 3900 A with a lightning impulse of 2212 kV passed high-altitude tests. The lightweight ±320 kV bushing at 2000 A for VSC transmission transformers can be mounted at any angle, and the dry ±400 kV bushing is rated 6250 A with a lightning impulse of 1529 kV.
DC bushings have low losses, low heating and low partial discharges, good load capacity, and they withstand polarity reversal tests.
