ETP3 — cast-resin MV auxiliary power transformers 15–63 kVA, up to 24 kV
ETP3 three-phase dry-type transformers with cast epoxy insulation are rated 15–63 kVA and up to 24 kV. They are used mainly for the auxiliary power of power plants, substations and industrial MV/LV switchgear. The insulation is completely dry and maintenance-free.

Description
The ETP3 windings are monolithic epoxy resin castings. They are cast under vacuum, so the insulation has high electrical, mechanical and climatic strength, and moisture and contamination do not degrade it. The wires connecting the HV terminals in delta or star and the connection wires are additionally covered with thick-walled heat-shrink tubing, which better protects them from mechanical and thermal damage. The 17.5 and 24 kV winding castings have integrated flared HV terminal shrouds. The shrouds maintain the required insulation clearances in air even though the transformer dimensions are compact.
The magnetic core is stacked using step-lap technology, so no-load losses are very low. The losses meet the Ecodesign2 level under EU Regulation 548/2014, and the transformers are built to EN IEC 60076-11. The windings are copper, insulation class F. The standard vector group is Dyn5, and others, for example Yzn5, are possible to order. The Um voltage classes 7.2, 12, 17.5 and 24 kV correspond to test voltages of 20/60, 28/75, 38/95 and 50/125 kV.
The typical versions from the catalogue card cover 15 kVA units for 6, 10 and 15.75 kV, 25 kVA units for 10–21 kV with ±2×2.5 % regulation, and 40–63 kVA for 15.75–21 kV. The secondary voltage is 400 V in all of them, short-circuit voltage from 3.6 to 5.1 %. The lightest unit (15 kVA, 7.2 kV) weighs 204 kg, the heaviest (63 kVA, 24 kV) has a mass of 581 kg. Ratings and vector groups outside the card are made by the plant after prior agreement.
Options include winding and core temperature sensors, post insulators for connecting HV circuits, surge limiters on the LV terminals and HV fuse bases. The transformers supply the MV auxiliary power of power plants and substations, power automation systems, low- and medium-power industrial installations, MV/LV switchgear, and the auxiliary power of photovoltaic and wind power plants. The hermetically cast windings withstand dust and moisture, so the units also work in the difficult conditions of industrial switchgear. The transformers are made by the plant in Poland.
