Description
The reactors are built for network voltages of 6, 10, 15, 20 and 35 kV, with a Y or YN connection. The rating is fixed or adjusted by taps with an off-circuit tap changer. The tank is hermetically sealed or has an oil conservator and a dehydrating breather, and cooling is by oil. Such a reactor is connected where cable networks produce excess capacitive power.
