Description
The construction is air-core with dry air insulation and no oil in the unit. It is an outdoor design, installed in the open part of the substation in the neutral circuit. The inductive current of the coil offsets the capacitive network current at the fault, the arc extinguishes itself, and the network can operate until the fault is found. The parameters match the capacitance of the specific network, so each unit is designed individually.
