Description
The construction is air-core with dry air insulation. It is an outdoor design: the reactor is mounted next to the power transformer in the open part of the substation. The inductive reactance in the neutral reduces the single-phase fault current and therefore the thermal and dynamic stress on the equipment and the grounding system.
