Air Core Shunt Reactors — dry-type shunt reactors up to 550 kV, 250 Mvar
Dry-type shunt reactors for voltages up to 550 kV and ratings up to 250 Mvar. They compensate the charging power of long, lightly loaded overhead and cable lines.
- Voltage class
- up to 550 kV
- Rating
- up to 250 Mvar
- Design
- dry, without a magnetic core, winding in an epoxy-fibreglass capsule
- Connection
- to the tertiary winding of an autotransformer, to the busbars or directly to the line
Price, availability and lead time on request. We help with analogue selection, customs clearance and delivery.
Description
The reactor is oil-free, so it needs no fire-extinguishing systems or bushings. The design is dry, without a magnetic core, and the winding is enclosed in an epoxy-fibreglass capsule. The reactor is connected to the tertiary winding of an autotransformer, to the busbars or directly to the line. The units are manufactured to IEC and ANSI/IEEE standards.
