Dervasil AZBD is a series of surge arresters for MV networks up to 36 kV with a silicone sheath moulded directly onto the housing with metal-oxide varistors. The arresters have increased short-circuit withstand and thermal stability and comply with IEC 60099-4.

Description
Zinc-oxide varistors are assembled in an insulating tube and the silicone is moulded directly onto it, with no air voids between the layers. This design reduces the risk of moisture ingress and of housing rupture under overload. The arresters are made for indoor and outdoor installation. A version with wireless condition monitoring via LoRaWAN is available, chosen by Enedis for its networks.
