Description
KSTAR YDC3300 is a series of medium and high power three-phase high-frequency online UPS with three-phase input and three-phase output (3:3). The ratings are 10–40 kVA and 50–200 kVA, and in the UL versions 10–20 and 25–100 kVA. The manufacturer targets the series at data centers. The topology is transformerless, with double conversion, fully digital DSP control and PFC technology.
The inverter is three-level, which gives an efficiency of up to 95.8 % and a high power density with a smaller cabinet footprint. The input power factor is 0.99 and the output power factor reaches 1.0. The input voltage covers 138–485 V AC, and above 305 V the power is not derated. For the 10–40 kVA models the datasheet also gives an input frequency range of 40–70 Hz and input current harmonics of 3 %. Cold start is supported.
The output withstands 100 % unbalanced load, as well as a fully inductive or capacitive load, and is compatible with generators. The output transfer time is 0 ms. The UPS carries an overload of up to 110 % for 60 min, up to 125 % for 10 min, up to 150 % for 1 min, and above 150 % the system transfers to bypass. There is an ECO mode. Up to an altitude of 1500 m the power is not derated, and above this threshold derating is required.
Up to 8 UPS can be connected in parallel, and the batteries can be common. The number of batteries in a string is adjustable within 30–50 pcs, and in the UL versions 16–26 pcs. The charging current is adjusted to the installed capacity. For communication with monitoring systems there are USB, RS232 and RS485 ports, a parallel port, dry contacts and a slot for an SNMP card or a relay board. There is dual LCD/LED indication and an emergency power off (EPO) function.
Testing and compatibility are given to IEC/EN 62040-2 and a number of standards of the IEC 61000-4 series (4-2, 4-3, 4-4, 4-5, 4-6, 4-8). The parameters for a specific size, including the number of batteries and the dimensions, are specified on request.
