Description
KSTAR HPM3300E is a series of modular three-phase online UPS rated 10–150 kVA. It is used in data centers and modular data centers, where capacity is increased in stages. There are several versions, including a subrack for a 19-inch rack, RT models for 10–50 kVA and a 100 kW power module in a 3U case. All units are modular, so they suit both modular data centers and custom-designed cabinets. This design makes it possible to add capacity by modules as needed without replacing the whole system.
The power modules, the bypass module, the monitoring module and the ECU control unit are hot-swappable without stopping the load. The system is easy to expand as needed, and parallel operation allows up to 8 systems. There is an LBS function, which synchronizes two independent UPS systems and increases power availability. The topology is three-level, the online mode efficiency reaches 95.8–96 %, and in the HECO economy mode up to 99 %.
The input power factor is 0.99 and the output power factor is 1.0, so the UPS can supply a 100 % unbalanced load. The line input voltage covers the range 138–485 V. Below 305 V the system derates the load to 40 %, and in the range 305–485 V it delivers 100 %. The total harmonic distortion of the output voltage does not exceed 1 % on a linear load and 3 % on a non-linear load. An overload of up to 110 % is carried for 60 min, up to 125 % for 10 min, up to 150 % for 1 min, and above 150 % the inverter switches off after 1.2 s.
The series works with lithium batteries. The number of cells in a string is selected from 30 to 50 pcs, 36 by default. With 36–50 pcs the output power factor is 1.0, with 32–34 pcs it is 0.9, and with 30 pcs it is 0.8. The UPS is controlled through a 7-inch color touch screen, optionally 10 inches. For communication there are RS232, RS485, a parallel port, LBS, BMS and dry contacts, and optionally a relay board, an SNMP card and a battery temperature sensor. Compliance is confirmed to IEC/EN 62040-2 and a number of standards of the IEC 61000-4 series.
