Description
The breaker is based on the railway VSV unit and is designed to operate at very low temperatures. The arc is extinguished in a vacuum interrupter and the unit contains no SF6, so gas pressure monitoring and SF6 accounting are not needed. The unit meets classes M2, C2, E2 and S2. It is installed in 72.5 kV outdoor switchyards in place of live tank SF6 breakers.
