Description
The recloser is mounted on an overhead line pole and works outdoors. At a temporary fault, for example a branch touching the line or an insulator flashover, it trips the section and after a pause closes it again, so consumers do not wait for a crew to arrive. Solid insulation does not require gas or oil monitoring on the pole. The device divides a long line into sections, and at a permanent fault only the damaged section stays switched off.
