M3007 — transformer load-break switch 24 kV, 400 A
M3007 is a three-phase indoor load-break switch for 24 kV, intended primarily for operating and disconnecting transformers at medium-voltage substations. The device works with HV fuses and disconnects all poles when the striker of any fuse link operates. Rated current of the main contacts is up to 400 A.

Description
Cast resin insulators are mounted on a frame made of profile steel. Each pole has an arc-extinguishing chamber with main and delayed contacts, and parallel moving crossbeams create two series breaks per pole. The switch has free tripping and fast opening, with a rotation angle of 90°. Two series breaks per pole and the arc-extinguishing chamber limit the arc during breaking, and all-pole disconnection when the striker operates prevents the transformer from running on two phases. In the OFF position the mechanism rests at dead center, so closing during fuse replacement is ruled out. Fuses are replaced with the device switched off. Short-circuit protection is provided by the fuses, and the switch switches the load and operates the transformer. The device is installed in closed rooms where there is access for replacing fuses.
Rated voltage 24 kV, rated current of the main contacts up to 400 A (the table states 400/63 A, the holders are rated for fuses of up to 125 A), breaking capacity 400 A for up to three breaking operations. H 220 Sta or H 221 Sta HV fuses with a striker (80 N) to DIN 43625 are used, with detailed fuse link data given in brochure 791. Weight is about 75 kg, part number 721 56 111.
Operating conditions to EN 62271-1 correspond to the class Minus 5 indoor. Maximum ambient temperature 40 °C, daily average up to 35 °C. Up to 1000 m above sea level no insulation correction is needed. The device is also rated to EN 62271-103, EN 60282-1 and EN 62271-105. Maintenance requirements are low, including in unfavorable conditions.
An earthing switch at the bottom or top depending on the connection scheme, auxiliary switches with up to 8 contacts on the switch shaft and/or the drive shaft, and manual drives per brochure 774 are available as options. Application: transformer substations of distribution networks and industrial enterprises where a simple and compact device is needed for switching and protecting a power transformer with fuses. It is produced to order with order number 3-81707210 per drawing 019913-001.
