Description
INEXT is a switch-disconnector with arc extinction and insulation in SF6 gas for outdoor installation on poles of medium voltage overhead distribution lines of any type. It is used for disconnecting and sectionalizing an overhead line, on branches, and at points where an overhead line transitions to a cable line. The stainless steel enclosure contains the arc-quenching chambers, busbar terminals, a spring mechanism and the SF6 gas. The device is designed for snow, ice, wind, rain and industrial pollution.
The tank is sealed for life under the 'sealed pressure system' criterion of IEC 62271-200 with a minimum SF6 leakage rate. The bushings in a polymer housing have a creepage distance of 780 mm (24 kV) and 1050 mm (36 kV). The operating mechanism is housed in a separate stainless steel enclosure rigidly connected to the switch. Switching on and off is performed by a single spring regardless of the speed of the operator's actions. The two-position scheme provides natural interlocking, and the load break and disconnecting functions are combined. A retroreflective position indicator is clearly visible from the ground (IEC 62271-102).
The device meets classes E3 and M2 and is made for 24 and 36 kV. The one-minute withstand voltage is 50/60 and 70/80 kV, the impulse voltage 125/145 and 170/195 kV. Rated current is 400–630 A and 400 A respectively, short-time withstand current 20 kA. Breaking of active load and closed loop is 630 / 400 A, cable and line charging currents 25 / 40 A, short-circuit making 50 kA. SF6 pressure is 0.13 and 0.18 MPa abs., weight 105 and 112 kg. Operating temperature is −25…+60 °C, altitude up to 1000 m, tank IP67, drive IP55.
Operation is possible with a hook stick from the ground, a manual cable drive MMT / MMT-MS (stainless steel cables, intermediate ceramic insulators, a handle near the base of the pole), or a pull-rod drive MPH with rods up to 12 m. The motorized INEXT (OCR) has remote control: a 48 V DC motor (optionally 12–24 V) rated 250 W, a control cabinet near the pole with a battery, current transformers on the input (optionally on the output), a single-phase VT or voltage sensors, a cable up to 17 m and remote control. Options are surge arresters, a low pressure lockout and a bracket. Applications include automation of 10–35 kV overhead distribution networks, sectionalizing of main lines, and connection of taps and cable sections.
