External fuse housings and /WBP fuse links for MV voltage transformers
The manufacturer supplies external housings for high-voltage fuses and replaceable and WBP fuse links matched to its own MV voltage transformers. The fuse isolates a faulty VT from the distribution system. The housing is mounted on the transformer, and the fuse link is replaced without removing the VT itself.

Description
The horizontal KPB 25 housing is available in epoxy or plastic and fits the VTS 12, VTD 12, VTS 25, VTS 25 Sch and VTD 25 transformers. For VTS 25, VTS 25 Sch and VTD 25 there is also a horizontal epoxy housing with an axial terminal. Vertical epoxy housings KPB 25, KPB 38 and WBP are fitted on the VTS 38, VTDO 38 and VTDOR 38 transformers. The order code of the horizontal epoxy housing is 307 000 085.
SIBA fuse links rated 10/24 kV are made for currents of 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.6, 1 and 2 A. They fit the VTS 12, VTS 12P, VTS 12P.Z, VTS 25, VTS 25 Sch, VTS 25P, VTD 12 and VTD 25. fuse links for 36 kV have currents of 0.1 and 0.5 A. The WBP 30 fuse link of 0.4 A is intended for 7.2–38.5 kV networks. A technical data sheet with the parameters is published for each fuse link.
For replacing the fuse link in the external epoxy KPB 25 housing, the manufacturer has issued a separate instruction. Before replacement, the type of the fuse link installed in the housing and the type of the new one must be known. All work on high-voltage fuses is carried out on de-energized equipment at a workplace protected against electric shock. The HV contact is disconnected, the fuse link is removed, a new one is inserted, and the HV contact is tightened with a torque wrench to 10 Nm.
Only persons with the appropriate qualification in accordance with ČSN EN 50110-1 and related standards, local regulations and internal safety instructions may check and install HV fuses. The instruction also refers to ČSN 34 3278 on the operation and maintenance of instrument transformers.
The housings and fuse links are used to equip voltage transformer cubicles of 6–35 kV switchgear, and as spare parts during operation and repair of the manufacturer's VTs and VTs with a similar connection. The fuse link must be selected by transformer type and network voltage class; the lists of compatible VTs are given above.
