Outdoor live tank circuit breaker ecosCB SEF123a rated 123 kV and 40 kA breaking current, free of SF6. The arc is extinguished by a CO₂-O₂ mixture with GWP < 1, and the unit is intended to replace existing SF6 breakers.

Description
The breaker has passed type tests to IEC 62271-100 and is made in Switzerland. It is an outdoor AIS live tank design. The operating mechanism is spring-operated, frequency 50 Hz. When an SF6 unit in a 123 kV outdoor switchyard rated for 40 kA is replaced, SF6 disappears from the scheme, and the new interrupting medium has GWP < 1 and contains no fluorinated gases.
