Description

The range complements the AC devices and the OL-DC catenary switches. Indoor disconnectors for railway electrification are single-pole, rated for 1.5 kV DC and rated current up to 6300 A. They are installed to give a visible break in the circuits of feeders, busbars and rectifier units of traction substations. The visible break allows one to make sure, before work on a feeder or rectifier unit, that the section is disconnected, and the earthing switches then earth it. The manufacturer describes this line in the brochure "Indoor Disconnectors for Railway electrifications".

According to the overview catalogue, disconnectors L31 / ITr and earthing switches ES for railways are rated for voltages up to 1.5 kV DC, and also 15 and 27.5 kV AC, with currents of 630–6300 A. They comply with EN 50152-2. The specification separately lists the EN 50123 standard, so for a specific project it is worth checking which document applies to the required voltage.

Outdoor disconnectors and earthing switches of type FTr 3-2000/3000 have a rated voltage of 3 kV DC and a rated current up to 6300 A. They are produced in single-pole and two-pole versions. Such devices are used for catenary sectioning and at the incomers of traction substations. Single-pole AC/DC earthing switches for railways earth sections of the catenary and equipment for the duration of work.

The devices are supplied with manual and motor drives UM / UH and the universal drive UMPlus. The UMPlus drive is supplied in a basic version without a control system and in a version with control elements. It is designed for outdoor catenary switches on portals, poles and in tunnels. Force can be transmitted through a rigid rod or a Flexball cable drive, depending on the place of installation.

The choice between indoor and outdoor versions, and between a single-pole and two-pole device, is determined by the layout of the substation or sectioning post. These devices are used at traction substations and sectioning posts of 1.5 and 3 kV DC, in depots, on metro lines and in tramway networks.
