MT10 / MT20 — non-reheat steam turbines 40–350 MW
Non-reheat steam turbines of the MT10 and MT20 series rated 40–350 MW from the manufacturer. Compact machines for industrial plants, small utilities and combined-cycle plants with heat recovery boilers. They operate in condensing schemes, with back pressure and with steam extractions for cogeneration and desalination.

Description
The range includes machines with one to three cylinders and covers different heat schemes, site conditions and operating modes. For small outputs the simplest option is the compact single-cylinder MT10 with combined HP and LP sections. For larger outputs there is the MT20 with an HP cylinder and one or more double-flow LP cylinders, their number depending on the exhaust conditions. In combined-cycle plants the design is adapted to the gas turbine configuration and steam parameters.
The MT10 series is rated 40–250 MW and serves small combined-cycle plants without reheat, condensing and back-pressure plants, cogeneration and solar plants. Steam parameters are up to 140 bar and 565 °C, with one cylinder and a single-flow exhaust. The MT20 series, 100–350 MW, is intended for medium and large combined-cycle plants without reheat and for cogeneration, with the same steam parameters up to 140 bar and 565 °C. It has two or more cylinders and double-flow LP cylinders.
The models are built from pre-engineered modules for 50 and 60 Hz markets and, except for the large low-pressure sections, the turbines are fully assembled at the works. The rotating and stationary blades are three-dimensional, reaction type, machined from bar stock together with the root and shroud. The layout is single-bearing, the bearings stand directly on the foundation, the rotor behaves stably and the dimensions are compact. Welded rotors have high thermal flexibility and give freedom in the choice of materials. The exhaust is axial or downward for single-flow design and lateral or downward for double-flow design.
In single-shaft combined-cycle plants the generator is connected through an SSS self-synchronizing clutch, so the gas and steam turbines operate independently. The MT10 and MT20 series are also offered for steam turbine plants of small modular reactors. Together with the turbine the company supplies turbogenerators of its own manufacture. Using ABB technology, the company has supplied and installed more than 20 reaction-type turbines without reheat, with a total output of 3 GW. Service covers spare parts, repair of large components, modification and modernization of turbines of other manufacturers, and the service team monitors the cycle parameters remotely around the clock. The repair service works with both impulse and reaction turbines of up to 1000 MW in a single unit.
