Description
The range for 330–750 kV substations includes single-phase and three-phase autotransformers and grid-coupling transformers. They connect grids of adjacent voltage classes, and the step-down transformers supply the auxiliary needs of large substations. The units work at 330, 500 and 750 kV substations, in intersystem links and at DC converter substations.
The largest single-phase unit in the range, the ODFPSZ-700000/750, is rated 700 MVA with voltages (765/√3)/(530/√3 ±8×0.625 %)/63 kV. On-load regulation is performed in the neutral using a variable flux scheme. The unit consists of a main transformer and a regulating and compensating transformer connected through bushings, and the main one can work separately. The single-phase design eases transport and rigging, so the model is used at large converter substations and in 750 kV grids.
For 500 kV grids, single-phase coupling autotransformers are produced: the ODFS-334000/500 rated 334 MVA with off-circuit tap changing and regulation on the main limb, and the ODFSZ-250000/500 rated 250 MVA with an OLTC on the side limb. The voltages of both are (525/√3)/(230/√3)/36 kV. In the ODFSZ-250000/500 the winding ratings are 250/250/80 MVA, the no-load losses are 67.8 kW and the short-circuit losses 349.5 kW. The short-circuit voltages are 14 % for HV-MV, 50 % for HV-LV and 35 % for MV-LV, cooling is ONAN/ONAF (70/100 %), and noise is 70 dB(A). According to the manufacturer, the insulation levels are SI1175 LI1550 AC680 on the HV side, LI950 AC395 on the MV side and LI200 AC85 for the LV winding, and LI325 AC140 for the neutral.
The three-phase OSFPS-JT-1000000/500 rated 1000 MVA (525/230/35 kV, ODAF) arrives at the site disassembled. On site it is assembled and dried with the same vapor-phase drying unit as at the factory, so there are no transport limits. The three-phase OSFSZ-360000/330 rated 360 MVA has voltages (345 ±8×1.25 %)/121/35 kV, ONAF cooling, a compact design and radiators mounted on the tank. Its no-load losses are up to 87 kW, short-circuit losses up to 705 kW, and noise up to 67 dB(A). The step-down SF-180000/500 (180 MVA, 525/36 kV, YNd11) supplies the auxiliary needs of extra-high-voltage substations.
Common to the series are reinforced insulation with field optimization in critical zones and a low level of partial discharges. Short-circuit withstand is verified by computational modeling, and stray fields are suppressed to reduce additional losses and local overheating. The temperature characteristics are good and the service life is extended.
