Description
A generator transformer raises the generator voltage to the level of the network to which the plant is connected. The largest unit built is the ART 500 MVA 415 kV autotransformer at the E.ON wind farm in Sweden. A 200 MVA transformer was built for the Avče pumped-storage plant. The parameters of each step-up transformer are determined by the capacity and the output scheme of the particular plant.
