Description
The group is designed for North American markets and projects under CSA and IEEE standards. The design, accuracy classes and burden designations are typical of these markets, and the networks are of the 15 kV class. All products are dry-type with cast insulation, for indoor installation. Standards are IEC 61869-2/-3/-4, CSA C61869-2/-3/-4 and IEEE C57.13. Frequency is 50/60 Hz.
The RY15 is a single-pole voltage transformer (phase-to-earth) with insulation up to 15/36/110 kV, primary voltage up to 15,000/√3 V, thermal burden up to 1750 VA and a mass of about 50 kg. The RV15 is a two-pole (phase-to-phase) voltage transformer with primary fuse clips, insulation up to 15/36/110 kV, primary voltage up to 15,000 V and a voltage factor of up to 1.2 Un continuously. Burdens are up to 75 VA in class 0.2, 200 VA in class 0.5 and 500 VA in class 1, under CSA/IEEE up to 0.3WXYZ, thermal burden up to 1750 VA, mass 50 kg. A primary fuse of 0.5 or 1 A can be fitted as an option. It has CSA qualification (approval LR 109295).
The CK15 is a compact indoor current transformer with insulation up to 15/36/110 kV, primary current up to 1200 A, short-time thermal current up to 50 kA for 1 s, dynamic current up to 2.5 Ith and one core. A dual transformation ratio is obtained by tapping the secondary winding. Classes are IEC 0.1–PX and CSA 0.15–10L, with CSA qualification and a mass of about 20 kg. The C15F is a combined current and voltage transformer (one CT and one phase-to-earth VT in a common cast housing), fully earthed. It has a 200 A primary connection per IEEE 386 (plug-in cable bushings), insulation up to 25/50/125 kV, primary current up to 200 A, short-time thermal current up to 16 kA for 1 s, a temperature range of −25…+50 °C and a mass of about 45 kg.
Accuracy classes of the VTs are 0.1–6P under IEC, 0.15–1.2, 3P and 6P under CSA, and 0.15–1.2 under IEEE. The transformers are used in switchgear and pad-mounted equipment of 15 kV and at primary metering points of network companies.
