Coupling transformers for audio-frequency ripple control systems, MV/HV
Coupling transformers for centralized audio-frequency (ripple control) systems in MV and HV networks. They work as part of the transmitters and inject audio-frequency pulses into the network.
- Purpose
- injection of audio-frequency pulses from static transmitters into MV and HV networks
- HV design
- oil-immersed
- MV design
- dry-type, air cooling

Description
The audio-frequency pulses are generated by static transmitters, and the coupling transformer passes them into the medium- or high-voltage network. For HV networks the transformers are made in an oil-immersed design. For MV networks a dry design with air cooling is used, which is easier to place indoors.
