Description
The transformer is installed at a traction substation, where it steps the voltage of the supply network down to the level of the traction network. The active part is placed in a tank with oil. The rating and voltage classes are chosen per project of the traction substation. Such transformers are needed when electrifying new sections and modernizing existing traction substations.
