Description
IKI series current transformers are designed specifically for IKI fault indicators, feeder controllers and transformer protection relays. They are intended for operation over a wide current range up to short-circuit currents. They are easy to install on cables and bushings of existing switchgear, and they are connected to IKI devices with the corresponding cables.
The core is split, with a push lock latch, so the transformer is installed without disconnecting the cable. It is fixed on the cable with a cable tie, and on C-cone bushings with sleeves. The housing is marked with the power flow direction, and a detachable connecting cable simplifies installation. Sets are supplied in packs of three. To open the core, press the tab in the marked direction and take the core out of the housing, then close it after installation until it locks. Mark K (P1) is oriented towards the busbars, L (P2) towards the cable, and the cable screen is led back through the transformer. Working with an open core and using damaged transformers is not allowed.
The IKI-LUM d92 model is directional and intended for collecting measured values: transformation ratio 2000/1, burden 0.2 VA at 600 A, inner diameter 92 mm, thermal withstand 27 kA, continuous current 650 A, insulation voltage 3 kV, IP54. It is used with IKI-22, IKI-23, IKI-35, IKI-50 and IKI-55. Versions with a cable tie, for C-cone bushings and for third-party switchgear bushings are available, as well as a 1 % accuracy variant. IKI-LUM_30_d92 is non-directional, for IKI-30 relays (and for IKI-35 RF when replacing IKI-30).
IKI-LUG and IKI-LUG_1500 have a ratio of 1500/1, 0.2 VA at 600 A, Ø 92 mm, 27 kA / 650 A. They are used with IKI-20 and IKI-23 indicators (without transmission of load values) on screened cables and bushings of gas-insulated switchgear. IKI-GSU is a cable summation current transformer with a split core for retrofitting screened MV cables, with an inner diameter of 130 or 160 mm. It measures the zero-sequence current for IKI-10, IKI-20 and protection relays.
IKI-LUM-ISO and IKI-LUM-ISO IP66 are intended for unscreened cables and joints, diameter 52 mm, insulated or screened underground MV cables up to 15 kV. The IP66 version is suitable for outdoor installation, and the connecting lines from the transformers to the device are then covered with UV-resistant tubes. Connection is made with 3 × 3 m or 3 × 5 m cables or to the customer's length, and for IKI-GSU with a 1 × 5 m cable.
