EOLI / eOLI22 digital oil level indicators with 4–20 mA and Modbus RTU
eOLI and eOLI22 are digital transformer oil level indicators with a mechanical dial, a 4–20 mA output and Modbus RTU. The devices monitor oil leaks remotely and work at an oil temperature from −40 to +120 °C.

Description
Mineral or silicone oil insulates and cools the transformer at the same time, so its level is monitored constantly. The eOLI derives from the classic oil level indicators of the company and is intended for smart transformers. The mechanical pointer indication and the alarm contacts remain, and the current level value is additionally transmitted remotely. An oil leak is visible in real time, and maintenance is planned by actual condition. The operator monitors the set values remotely or reads the indication on site.
A float of expanded ebonite transmits movement to the dial through a magnetic coupling. A built-in sensor converts the position into an analogue 4–20 mA signal and Modbus RTU data, and a data logger is provided. The housing and flange are made of aluminium alloy, the glass is polycarbonate or tempered. Marks are applied on the aluminium dial plate, the pointer is red, and the scale is set to order (MIN, +20 °C, MAX and so on). The float moves radially, axially or works with a conservator equipped with a rubber bag.
Adjustable switches set the alarm setpoints. There is an anti-condensate valve, and cables are brought in through three M25×1.5 entries. There are two models. The eOLI has a flange compatible with all transformer designs, and the eOLI22 is supplied with an 8-hole flange of the manufacturer's own design. The tank hole is 52 to 54 mm for the eOLI and 70 to 140 mm for the eOLI22. Among the company's indicators, adjustable switches are found only in the OLI, OLI22, eOLI and eOLI22.
An eViewer is offered for the device, a remote dial on the tank wall at human height. The level is read on site, and the eViewer supply is 24 V DC. The eOLI itself is powered from 24 V DC ±10 % with correct polarity. Oil temperature is −40…+120 °C, ambient −40…+80 °C, degree of protection IP66. The device is installed indoors and outdoors, and tropical and offshore versions are available.
The eOLI is compatible with the whole family of eDevices of the company and with third-party devices. Integration is done through a central control unit, and the device is part of the MeDICA transformer diagnostics ecosystem, so a fleet of machines is digitalised in stages. Applications cover power and distribution transformers with and without a conservator, smart grid networks, new installations and retrofits.
