MSD (E90) MeVoDry from the manufacturer are dry medium-voltage capacitors up to 12 kV and 50–400 kvar for reactive power compensation banks. They contain no flammable impregnant, and the self-healing dielectric rules out cascading section failures and phase unbalance.

Description
The capacitors are three-phase, star-connected, 50/60 Hz. The dielectric is metallized polypropylene, filled with a hardened resin based on vegetable oil, with no liquid inside. Protection is provided by a pressure switch, which replaces fuses and neutral unbalance protection. They are made to IEC 60871, IEC 61071 and IEC 60110 and work in PFC stages together with FKD-MV filter reactors.
