KLV high-voltage power capacitors and MV/HV capacitor banks
KLV is a series of high-voltage power capacitors for reactive power compensation in medium and high voltage networks. The sections are all-film, dielectric losses are very low, and the capacitors comply with IEC 60871-1, ANSI/IEEE 18 and NEMA CP 1. Single-phase and three-phase versions are available, with and without internal fuses.

Description
KLV series capacitors are designed for reactive power compensation in medium and high voltage networks. The manufacturer also offers complete MV capacitor banks. The technology is based on all-film sections. Such capacitors have very low dielectric losses and are designed for a long service life.
The design uses a folded foil edge and improved electrical and mechanical connections between sections. The sections are impregnated with an environmentally friendly insulating oil. The three-phase KLV3223 capacitor is built with internal fuses, that is, every element has its own built-in fuse. A damaged element is disconnected while the capacitor as a whole stays in service. The series covers single-phase and three-phase versions with and without internal fuses. These are the types KLV1211, KLV3211, KLV1223 and KLV3223.
The capacitors comply with IEC 60871-1, ANSI/IEEE 18 and NEMA CP 1. Production is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. The manufacturer supplies the compensation system as a complete package, that is, together with the controller, contactors and capacitor banks, so there is no need to assemble it from components of different origin, and the parameters of the controller, contactors and banks are matched to each other.
The main fields of application are capacitor banks of electrical substations, reactive power compensation of arc and induction melting furnaces, and individual compensation of high-voltage motors. Rated voltages and powers are given in the catalog for KLV capacitors and are not published in open descriptions, so the specific values for a project must be confirmed from the catalog.
