The DEETAP DU drum-type de-energized tap changer (DETC) is designed for power transformers of 36–245 kV, with a special version up to 550 kV. Rated through current is up to 2000 A, and up to 4000 A in the special version.

Description
The tap changer is available in single-phase and three-phase versions. The number of positions depends on the diameter of the contact circle and is up to 5, 11 or 17. Taps are changed with the transformer disconnected, which is the normal operating mode of any de-energized tap changer. A special version is ordered for classes above 245 kV and currents above 2000 A.
