Description
The manufacturer positions itself as one of the leading suppliers of energy-efficient distribution transformers with an amorphous steel magnetic core. Such a core has reduced no-load losses. The magnetic core is wound from thin amorphous ribbon, which is remagnetized with lower losses than ordinary electrical steel. A distribution transformer is energized around the clock, so the reduction of these losses is noticeable in the annual balance of the network.
Medium- and low-rated power transformers work at distribution network substations of 6-35 kV and at industrial sites. The same medium-rated models are used for commercial buildings. Single-phase pole-mounted transformers are installed on overhead line poles and serve extensive overhead networks where transformation is close to the consumer. Such machines are typical for rural and suburban networks. Single- and three-phase pad-mounted models have an enclosed housing for outdoor installation and are intended for cable networks, including residential areas. The housing is set on a ground-level foundation, cables enter from below, and live parts are closed to access.
A separate line is transformers for solar inverters (inverter duty). They step up the voltage of the inverters of a photovoltaic plant and connect the plant to the medium-voltage grid. The load of such a transformer changes with solar generation during the day. The transformer is selected for the inverter rating and output voltage, and these data are given in the inquiry.
The transformers are made with proven technologies from high-quality materials, and quality control is carried out at all production stages. The design is agreed with the customer specification in full compliance with the international IEEE and IEC standards. This way one manufacturer covers orders for networks built to American and to international norms. The manufacturer does not state specific rated powers and voltages on the product page, they are defined by the order, so the parameters are fixed in the technical specification. The inquiry should state the rating, primary and secondary voltage, winding connection and installation type.
Transformers, GIS and surge arresters are built at the Hamakawasaki plant in Kawasaki, transformers also at the Mie plant, and the high-voltage test laboratories are JAB accredited. The company has experience of complex supplies and since 1978 has completed over 100 turnkey substations abroad with voltages up to 800 kV.
